Clandestine gambling location shut down by police

A café that doubled an online gambling spot was raided and shut down by police.
The Chamkarmon Unity Command, led by the Deputy Governor of Chamkarmon District, Yos Yuthy, raided Friend Café on October 20. The café is located at No. 1A, Street 271 in Sangkat Phsar Dem Thkov, Khan Chamkarmon. The raid was ordered by the Governor of Chamkarmon District and Chairman of Khan Unity Command, Theng Sothol.
During the inspection of the above location, the authorities discovered that the seemingly innocent café also doubled as an online gambling den. Police discovered televisions and computers which were used to access online gambling sites.
Police discovered all the paraphernalia used for the illegal activities. The owner identified as Eam Phalla, male, was handed over to the Khan Police Inspectorate to continue investigations.
This is the latest raid done by police on online gambling sites. Previously the authorities of Choam Chao raided a large building where online gambling activities were also being carried out.
