During fiscal year 2023, Las Vegas Strip casinos reportedly took in more than $20 billion in total revenue from gaming, hotel rooms, food, beverage and other amenities. Of that, only 26.6% came from gaming ($5.45 billion), a continually shrinking piece of the pie. FY 2022 had gaming revenue at 30.4%.

Non-gaming amenities like hotel rooms, food, beverage, entertainment and more have been the main economic driver of Vegas Strip casinos ever since 1999 but the percentages continue to grow.

Meanwhile, the picture is different elsewhere. Downtown Las Vegas, for example, still has gaming revenue at nearly 50% of revenue. The state of Nevada overall accounted that 36.6% of total revenue came from gaming in FY 2023.
