LCVA is bringing new trade shows to Las Vegas. The National Confectioners Association announced that its Sweets & Snacks Expo will rotate between Las Las and Indianapolis for the next ten years. Mobile World Congress will be held in Las LV for first time in September.
LVCVA has extended several convention contracts. Fancy Food Show 2024 extended for 15-17 January 2023, and 21-23 January 2024. Wedding MBA Convention extended from 7-8 November 20th to 7th November of 20 23. Tobacco Plus Expo 2022 extended to 22-24 February 2021, Cosmoprof 2024 extended until 11-13 July 2025, NFR Cowboy Christmas Gift Show 2022 extended till 1-10 December 2022.
Vincent from Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania won $199,790.60 at Mohegan Sun Pocono's Blazing 7's Blackjack Progressive Jackpot. It's the largest jackpot win at the Pennsylvania casino this year.
Dennis Albers won $1,082,701 on Face Up Pai Gow at The Cromwell Las Vegas. He intends to donate to charity, share some of the winnings with family and possibly buy a vacation home.
45 million Americans are expected to bet on March Madness this year. Most of the bets will be on the tournament brackets. About 36 million people will participate in a bracket contest or pool. The AGA president predicts the highest legal handle in March March history.
Turning Stone Resort Casino is hosting the first World Series of Poker tournament in New York. The tournament will last 12 days and is open to the public. It is the only one in the Northeast. Participants will compete for a chance to win more than $1 million, a seat in a tournament of Champions in Las Vegas and an iconic WSOP ring.
