California, Oklahoma Tribal Groups Partner for New Casino
Koi Nation of Northern California and the Chickasaw Nation, Oklahoma's Global Gaming Solutions subsidiary have entered a predevelopment agreement for a major new casino project.
Koi Nation of Northern California and Chickasaw Nation, Oklahoma's Global Gaming Solutions (GGS) have partnered to develop a new casino. The planned Shiloh Casino & Resort is set to be built in Sonoma County, north of San Francisco. GGS will manage and operate the casino, which will have 2,500 gaming machines, a 200-room hotel, six food service areas, restaurants, and a spa.
California and Oklahoma tribes partner for a new casino. Chickasaw tribe of Oklahoma has a wealth of experience operating gambling facilities. It currently operates 23 facilities, all in Oklahoma. The WinStar World Casino Resort is the biggest casino in the world.
Koi Nation bought a 68-acre property for $12.3m in Shiloh for a casino project. The plan received opposition from the neighboring Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria who already operate a casinos in the area. Chickasaw Nation ran a model to see if there was enough demand for the project and found that it is a viable idea.
