Caesars Virginia generates over $19 million during the month of June
DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - The Caesars Virginia casino in Danville generated over $19.2 million during the month of June, the Virginia Lottery announced Monday.
The Virginia Lottery adds the value is adjusted to deduct any winnings at the casino.
The report says over $14 million was generated through slot machine games and roughly $5 million from table games.
The casino paid around $3.45 million in taxes broken down as: $2.2 million toward the Gaming Proceeds Fund, $1.1 million to the City of Danville, $27,000 to the Problem Gambling Treatment and Support Fund, and nearly $7,000 to the Family and Children’s Trust Fund.
The Virginia Lottery Board approved Caesars Virginia in April 2023, with the temporary facility opening in Danville a month later on May 15, 2023.
