Caesars Raises Stake in Horseshoe Casino Baltimore
Caesars Entertainment, Inc. bought a minority interest in Horseshoe Casino Baltimore from a joint venture partner to up its stake in the Maryland-based property to 76%. Caesar's Entertainment is rumoured to be planning to sell its real estate assets to VICI Properties. Hourseshoer Baltimore is Maryland's second largest casino and cost more than $440 million to build.
Caesars has increased its stake in the Horseshoe casino in Baltimore. The state legalized sports betting in April. Arizona legalized it in August. It's unknown if Maryland sports fans will be able to place wagers on NFL games during the regular season. Caesar's plans to open a sportsbook at Hourseshoer Baltimore, located in a spot previously occupied by a Guy Fieri restaurant.
