Caesars Palace Las Vegas has been an iconic presence on the Las Vegas Strip since it first opened its doors in 1966. The hotel, which pays tribute to Rome, now has nearly 4,000 guest rooms in six towers — all of which are slated to be renovated under a multi-year project.

The new Colosseum Tower, previously known as the Forum Tower, has unveiled its upgrades and is accepting reservations.

The 440 guest rooms in the Colosseum Tower, located across from The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, have been refreshed with "classically inspired decor," according to a press release obtained by Travel + Leisure. The rooms feature a black-and-white palette with pops of emerald and red. The bathrooms have dark wood vanities, emerald-accented mirrors, and marble floors. Some rooms boast views of the Strip, and select suites feature soaking tubs, six-seat dining nooks, and pool tables.

Beyond this, Caesars Palace also debuted the fourth outpost of Brooklyn’s iconic Peter Luger Steakhouse. According to Terrence O'Donnell, senior vice president and general manager of Caesars Palace, the new restaurant promises to "carry on the legacy of delicious steaks and memorable dining experiences."

The 8,700-square-foot dining room mimics the original restaurant with exposed brick, wood paneling, oak floors, tabletops, and industrial windows. And just like the New York City institution, the compact menu here features a selection of apps and sides like jumbo crab cakes, loaded baked potatoes, and creamed spinach. (Pro-tip: I think the extra thick-cut bacon and German potatoes are a must.)

That said, the star of the show is its steak. The menu offers a giant porterhouse that has been dry-aged in-house in a 2,805-square-foot facility below the kitchen before being butchered and broiled to order. It is then finished with butter and served to patrons sizzling. (Fun fact: At any given time, they store about $1 million worth of beef.) If you're not into steak, there are options: other entree selections include lamb chops, Dover sole, Atlantic salmon, chicken, and lobster.
