Buenos Aires finalises licensing regime but doubts remain on launch approval
IPLyC, the regulatory authority of gambling for the province of Buenos Aires, has concluded its year long online gambling licensing process. Seven partnerships have been allowed to form online betting ventures servicing Buenos Buenos Aries province.
ArgenBingo BA and William Hill will launch the Buenos Aires’ founding online gambling regime. Pasteko SA and Hillside Media Malta will join them. The IPLyC has received 14 applications to join its BA regime, with notable rejections handed to Spanish operators Luckia (Grupo EGASA), Codere SA, and LatAm betting group BetCris. New BA Governor Axel Kicillof will intervene in the launch of the regime as he is dissatisfied with the online betting laws and the welfare fund commitments.
ArgenBingo BA, Pasteko SA, Hillside Media Malta, Hotel Casino Tandil, Boldt SA and Cassava Enterprises Gibraltar, Atlántica de Juegos y Stars Interactive Limited and Betsson Group are among the partners.
