Boom Prepares Its Entry To The Real Money Online Casino Space

Boom Entertainment announced a further $15 million round of funding this week. Golden Nugget Online Gaming and Rush Street Interactive will be among the first real-money iGaming titles that Boom Entertainment creates.
Murphy told OPR that the latest funding round will enable Boom to enter the real-money US online casino and online sports betting game creation space. The funding will also enable the company to acquire talent and intellectual property.
Boom Entertainment will focus on its iGaming products first. It has agreements with GNOG and RSI to supply the games.
Connecticut is about to launch one of the first iGaming casinos. Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia already offer igaming. Delaware has online casinos, but they are operated by the lottery.
The company will unveil its first wave of casino games to select partners in the coming months. It will launch its proprietary sports betting games and product offerings to partners shortly afterwards.
Boom Entertainment is serious about online casino. Before co-founding Boom in 2015, Murphy served as the vice president of business development with High 5 Games. President and CTO Med Nadooshan was High5's COO and the creative director of Gimmie Games before joining Boom.
