Bidding to blow up Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino has ballooned to $175,000. The auction goes live at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19. Joe Bodnar, of Bod narb's auction of Edison, believes the bidding will get crazy from here on out.
The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City is being demolished. The building has been empty since 2014. It started shedding facade last year during a storm. Carl Icahn owns the property. He will tear it down in early February. Mayor Marty Small Sr. wants to use the demolition to raise money for charity.
The Boardwalk Hotel in Atlantic City is being auctioned off. The auction will raise at least $1 million for the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic city. It's been nearly 13 years since the last time an Atlantic Town hotel was demolished. The Sands is still standing. There are over 2,500 youth in the club.
