The Atlantic City casinos made $90.4 million in gross operating profits in the first quarter of 2021. The second quarter, when the casinos were closed for all three months, produced a gross Operating Loss of $112 million. In the same period of 2019, the casino industry made more money than in 2019. Borgata is the king of Atlantic city casinos, with $69. 4 million profits. Tropicana, Hard Rock and Harrah's are second, third and fourth, respectively. Caesars, owned by Caesar's Entertainment, is fifth with profits of $26.7 million, while Bally's is sixth.
Ocean casino had 94.8% occupancy and $217.54 as the average room charge. Borgata managed just 49.1% room occupancy while charging an average rate of $151.33 per night. Resorts had an an averaged room rate $105.30 per day.
