Analyst: Las Vegas Casinos Facing Revenue Dip in 2023
Las Vegas casinos could see a revenue decline next year. The industry recovered quickly after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Las Vegas Strip casinos pulled in a record $7.1bn in gaming revenue in 2021. In the 12 months ending this June, that number grew to $8. 1bn. The analyst predicts that the current gaming revenues boom will end in 2023. He expects a mild decline, but still plenty of money for casinos.
Vegas casinos have posted impressive numbers over the past two calendar years. American Gaming Association announced that US casinos brought in $14.8bn in gaming revenue during the second quarter. AGA CEO Bill Miller cautioned that casinos might struggle to beat their year-over-year totals in the 2nd half of 2022.
