4 people sentenced for running illegal gambling operation at Sterling Heights cafe

Four people from Wayne and Macomb counties have been sentenced for running an illegal gambling operation inside an internet cafe in Sterling Heights.

Sam Daoud, Nadia Daoud, Kim Green, Brian Shufeldt and Brian Daouk pleaded guilty to running an illegal gambling operation at a cafe in Sterling Heights. Sam Daoul was placed on probation for 18 months, while Nadouad was on 11 months probation and ordered to pay $600 in court costs, $130 in crime victim costs and $68 in state costs. Kim green served two days in jail and received six months of probation. Brian Shaufuldt was ordered $1,600.

Sam Daoud, Shufeldt, Andrew Reip, Christina Reips and Peter Yerian are accused of running an illegal gambling operation at Motorcity Jackpott’s cafe in Clio Township. They were sentenced to pay fines of $550 in court costs, $130 in crime victim rights fees, and $68 in state fees.
