$325 million Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Friday night
The jackpot in Friday's Mega Millions drawing is $325 million.
If there is a winner, they can choose an annuity, which would pay out $325 million over 29 years, or take home $224.1 million in cash.
“Every single drawing, such as Tuesday’s drawing that produced two $10,000 winners, results in wins for our players,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “While we are all rooting for someone in North Carolina to win the jackpot, there are plenty of other prizes available as well.”
The $325 million jackpot would be the largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won in North Carolina.
There have been two previous Mega Millions jackpot winners in the state, according to a press release. The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million.
Mega Millions tickets cost $2 and can be purchased up until 10:45 p.m. Friday night. Tickets can also be purchased online.
The Mega Millions drawing will be on WRAL-TV at 11 pm. before WRAL's Late News.
