Your first look inside the new Live! Casino at the Westmoreland Mall
GREENSBURG, Pa. — A week from Tuesday, Live! Casino opens at the Westmoreland Mall.
Westmoreland County’s first casino has hundreds of slot machines and dozens of table games along with themed bars and restaurants.
“I want to be safe. You want to be safe, right? There’s nobody that wants to leave their home unless they feel a comfort zone of safety,” said Sean Sullivan, casino general manager.
The 100,000 square-foot facility will run 24/7. Capacity will be cut in half to just 1,900 people. There is a thermal camera that will take your temperature. Masks are required and the casino will have a supply. Plexiglass will separate each seat at the tables and hand sanitizer is placed around the casino.
“This is a brand-new building, brand-new system. The air turns over here 12 times an hour. That’s unheard of,” Sullivan said.
Workers will be temperature tested every shift. Sullivan said health and safety is the first priority but the hope is the new facility can be a big boost to the local economy and the mall.
