Wynn Macau Must Help Pay Back HK$6m to VIP Gambler
A Macau court ordered Wynn Resorts to pay US$769,447 to a high roller who had his cash stolen from him. The court ruled that Dore Entertainment Limited, which works as a gaming promotor and intermediary for WynN's Macao gaming operations, is partly responsible for this.
Wynn Macau received the judgment from the court. The company is seeking legal advice from its Macao counsel. Dore was hit hard financially in September 2015 after a cage manager stole nearly HK$700m (US$89.8m) from a cashier cage in the VIP room. Four gamblers sued Dores and Wynn for HK $64m, but only one was able to showcase proof of deposit. In June 2015, the unnamed gambler deposited HK-6m with Dorsa VIP Room. He has returned to the room numerous times since September to get back his money, as Drees refused to honor his withdrawal requests.

Both parties appealed the initial decision. In October 2018, the Court of Second Instance ruled that both WynN and Dores held responsibility in making the repayment to the gambling patron. Wyn n decided to appeal the decision to Court.
