On 27th November 2022, Twitch streamer Tyler "Trainwreck" Faraz Niknam announced that he'd be streaming gambling on the platform on 1st December 2022. It's uncertain whether the content creator was strictly joking or is serious about gambling on Twitch, especially after the Amazon-owned company released a new policy banning roulette, dice, and slots on the platform.

Gambling streams on Twitch were initially banned last 20th September 2022 following some recent controversy involving a streamer named "ItsSliker." ItsSliker was a popular variety streamer who mainly appeared on Twitch's Just Chatting category and was recognized for their gambling streams. It was later known that ItsSliker was reportedly addicted to gambling and would lie to other streamers and even Twitch viewers in asking for money and spending it, but never repaying that amount back.

Because of the controversy, multiple massive names like Imane "Pokimane" Anys and Matthew "Mizkif" Rinaudo on the platform rallied together and slammed Twitch for enabling gambling. These streamers protested and demanded the Amazon-owned company take down and completely ban gambling on Twitch, which the platform later did to a certain degree.

Twitch's latest policy, implemented on 18th October 2022, prohibits "streaming of gambling sites that include slots, roulette, or dice games that aren't licensed in either the US or other jurisdictions that provide sufficient consumer protection."

That said, although it seems Trainwreck might be streaming gambling on Twitch, it'll probably not include slots, roulette, or dice games, but instead, skill-based games like Poker or Blackjack. However, it's uncertain whether the streamer will actually stream gambling on Twitch, even despite Tweeting earlier this week that Trainwreck was "bored" and wanted to gamble on the platform.

If Trainwreck does gamble on Twitch, it's best to assume that he probably won't violate the platform's newly-established policy. In saying so, only time can really tell whether it happens or not. Trainwreck will supposedly be gambling on Twitch on 1st December 2022. For more information, stay tuned as we update this article duly if anything newsworthy happens.
