Tuscola Co. man wins $260K prize in lottery
TUSCOLA CO., Mich. (WNEM) - A Tuscola County man won $260,975 after playing the BIG CA$H Second Chance jackpot.
The 44-year-old player, who is remaining anonymous, won the prize money after he was selected in a random drawing which took place on Wednesday, Jan. 10.
“I have been playing the eligible BIG CA$H online games hoping to win the big jackpot,” he said. “When I saw an email from the Lottery notifying me that I had won, a feeling of relief instantly came over me. Winning this prize came at the perfect time.”
The Michigan Lottery said he earned entries into the giveaway by playing the eligible BIG CA$H Second Chance Jackpot games online.
“I am planning to invest my winnings in real estate, but first, I am going to buy a lot of cake to celebrate my win,” he said.
The BIG CA$H Second Chance game began in April of 2022, and since then players have won more than $6.8 million in progressive prizes.
Entries are only valid for the entry period in which they were earned, the Michigan Lottery said, adding each month a new drawing period begins, and the progressive jackpot is reset to $5,000.
The next drawing will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
