Las Vegas (KSNV) — Durango Casino & Resort, Palace Station, Red Rock Casino, and Green Valley Ranch, will welcome the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Dragon with commemorative lion dances and colorful décor.
The traditional dances will start with a blessing and continue throughout the casino floor, bringing good fortune and prosperity to all four properties.

THE STRAT
A traditional lion dance will be performed by the Lohan School of Shaolin across the casino floor starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.
Performers dance in extravagant lion costumes, which symbolize power, wisdom, and superiority, and in celebration of the Year of the Dragon, a special 10-person dragon will be added to the performance.

GRAND CANAL SHOPPES AT THE VENETIAN RESORT
Beginning Thursday, Feb. 1, The Shoppes will come alive with Lunar New Year festivities, including captivating photo opportunities, the 13th Annual Chinese New Year in the Desert ribbon-cutting ceremony, and more.
Festive Photo Opportunities
The Shoppes will provide a variety of vibrant, cultural photo opportunities in honor of the holiday throughout the month.
Starting Thursday, Feb. 1, the renowned Golden Dragon art installation will return to commemorate the Lunar New Year. Located in the luxury wing near Louis Vuitton, the dazzling display will feature a 34-foot-long and eight-foot-tall illuminated smoke-breathing dragon, making for a stunning photo-worthy moment for guests.
Additionally, guests will have the chance to snap a celebratory photo at the eye-catching red lantern display near Smith & Wollensky.
Chinese New Year in the Desert
To commemorate The Year of the Dragon, The Shoppes will host the 13th Annual Chinese New Year in the Desert ribbon-cutting ceremony, the official kick-off to the city-wide initiative.
On Thursday, Feb. 15 at 5:30 p.m., guests will be captivated as the event will feature an honorary ribbon-cutting ceremony, a lion blessing, cultural performances, and more to celebrate the New Year in St. Mark’s Square.

Patrons visiting The Shoppes throughout the month will find exclusive discounts and specials at Kate Spade New York, Ferragamo, and Coach.
For an additional treat, shoppers who spend $450 and show same-day receipts will receive a Lunar New Year-inspired gift with purchase, including a Grand Canal Shoppes branded luxury tote and keyholder set.
This offer will be valid for guests Wednesday, Feb. 7 through Sunday, Feb. 11, and Feb. 14 through 18.
FASHION SHOW MALL
From Feb. 10 through Feb. 25, FSLV will transform into a haven of celebration as the center will be adorned with Lunar New Year musical lanterns, creating an enchanting atmosphere throughout the 15-day festival.
The iconic destination will come alive with vibrant traditions like the Lion's blessing, family-friendly lantern-making stations, and even a visit from the God of Good Fortune.
To further enhance the spirit of prosperity, guests will receive red envelopes filled with chocolatey treats and exclusive retailer offers.
Adding to the celebration, shoppers who provide guest services in-store receipts totaling $350 have the unique opportunity to receive a symbolic Gift with Purchase featuring a red Rumi Bag.
The first 100 shoppers will also have the chance to win an exclusive FSLV Year of the Dragon poker chip, redeemable for a $25 FSLV gift card.
RESORTS WORLD LAS VEGAS
In honor of the Year of the Dragon, the luxury resort will provide festive photo opportunities, an energetic Lion Dance, and more. Throughout the month, guests can celebrate Lunar New Year at the property with vibrant offerings, including:
A Dragon and Lion Dance, the traditional entertainment for the holiday, will fill the property with cheer on Saturday, Feb. 10. Starting at 6 p.m., guests can watch as the colorful dancers travel throughout the destination to bless multiple venues.
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, the resort will also boast a backdrop in the Conrad Lobby featuring a red setting with “Year of The Dragon” and red lanterns, a symbol of good luck, for a perfect photo opportunity for travelers and locals alike.
RAMPART CASINO
To celebrate the Chinese New Year, guests can watch a commemorative dragon and lion dance on Friday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m.
The 30-minute dance will begin in the pit area of the casino and make its way throughout the resort.
Additionally, festive décor will be hung around the casino floor and at Jade Asian Kitchen to celebrate the occasion.
HAKKASAN
In celebration of the Year of the Dragon, Hakkasan will offer a limited-edition menu from January 30 to February 24.
The $158 per person menu was created by Executive Chefs from Hakkasan restaurants across the globe, with dishes designed to bring good fortune, strength, and health.
Highlights include the Wishes of Prosperity dim sum duo from Hakkasan Riyadh, featuring lobster and cheese lantern puffs and Black truffle wild mushroom dumplings, smoked eight treasure duck created in collaboration by the Executive Chefs of Hakkasan Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, and wild red king prawn with braised dragon beard noodles crafted in London.
