Texas Lottery ticket won by Arlington resident
The anonymous winner bought the ticket at a Circle K in Irving. The Texas Lottery says they won't get the full prize, but they're still getting a huge moneybag.
ARLINGTON, Texas — Do you know someone in Arlington who bought a lottery ticket, and you haven't heard from them since?
If the answer's yes, then that might be the person who won the multimillion-dollar Lotto Texas Jackpot.
Texas Lottery announced the win on Monday, saying someone from Arlington claimed the prize estimated for $7.25 million. Understandably, that person decided to remain anonymous.
Their ticket was purchased at the Circle K on Valley View Lane in Irving. The drawing was held on June 25, resulting in the winning numbers 7-10-23-34-46-47.
While the prize is estimated to be worth $7.25 million, Texas Lottery says the winner chose the cash option when they got the ticket. Their earnings will actually be $4,632,166.56 before taxes.
You may not have won that lottery, but there's still a chance to win an estimated $1 billion with the Mega Millions jackpot.
No one won the prize Tuesday night when it was sitting at $830 million. It's now expected to go up to $1.02 billion.
