Swedish Gambling Authority takes action on unlicensed provider

The Swedish Gambling Authority has banned Slots Safari from operating in the country after it was found to be an unlicensed provider.
Spelinspektionen said an investigation found that information on the website is presented in Swedish, which is one of the factors in assuming online gaming offerings are aimed at the Swedish market.
“The website slotssafari.co is not a designated gaming venue by any company with a Swedish license; thus, the website is operated without a Swedish licence,” the regulator said.
“Considering consumer protection and to ensure gaming safety, the Swedish Gambling Authority deems it crucial that the decision is immediately enforced. Therefore, the decision is effective immediately.”
Spelinspektionen added that “no response has been received” after it offered the owners of Slots Safari “the opportunity to express themselves.”
