Stanly County man wins jackpot, his second big Cash 5 win
RALEIGH – Danny Tarlton of Locust won a Cash 5 jackpot years ago and on Sunday he got lucky again with a $134,419 Cash 5 jackpot win.
He previously won a $138,454 jackpot in January 2012.
Tarlton bought his lucky Quick Pick ticket from the Refuel on West Main Street in Locust.
He arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to collect his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $96,110.
Cash 5 is one of six lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying their tickets at a retail location or with Online Play through the lottery’s website or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Tuesday’s jackpot is $110,000.
