LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — A Lexington man has been charged with illegal gambling after the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) discovered and seized eight gaming machines, according to affidavits.

Only October 4, SLED agents executed a search warrant and seized the "Pot of Gold" machines offering poker, keno and blackjack at 174 Clermont Lake Drive in Lexington, warrants state.

SLED charged, 53-year-old Gregory Speaks with gambling and unlawful games and betting, eight counts of unlawful possession and operation of a slot, video, vending machine or gambling device on October 5, according to a news release.

Speaks was booked at the Lexington County Detention Center.

The case will be prosecuted by the 11th Circuit Solicitor's Office.
