Sen. Joseph Addabbo talks about casinos coming to NYC

New York is officially accepting applications for three new casinos, which would include live table games and slot machines.

The state’s Gaming Facility Location Board voted earlier this week to open the process.

The board will also review applications based on three main factors: job creation, how much revenue it can bring in and the impact it would have on the surrounding area.

Sen. Joseph Addabbo, who chairs the Senate Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wagering, joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to discuss the progress.

Some companies have already announced plans to bid for licenses to build a casino in New York City, including in Times Square and Coney Island.
