Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma announced eight illegal gambling centers have been dismantled in the county.Lemma made the announcement, calling it "a major undercover investigation."An investigation began in March after authorities received a Crimeline tip. The sheriff said officials conducted a series of undercover operations in order to find those who were involved.Investigators learned the gambling centers were operating without occupational licenses and consisted of primarily slot machines and video games.According to Lemma, the machines were the same type of machines you would see in any legal casino.Eighteen people are facing charges for their role in running the enterprises.Anyone with information about the operation of the gambling centers or those involved is asked to contact the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at 407-665-6650 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.This story is developing.
