Scientific Games Corporation has won the competitive bidding process for the Vermont Lottery’s gaming systems technology contract. Scientific Games revealed that it won this contract from a “global competitor” and will deploy its advanced platforms, game services, and retail solutions products.
Scientific Games has won the contract to provide a central communications network and its AEGIS open architecture enterprise gaming system to the Vermont Lottery. It will supply WAVE retailer terminals and PlayCentral self-service machines to lottery retailers. Scientific Games provides digital and retail games, services, and technology to 135 lotteries across the world, including almost all of the lotters in North America.
The official start of Scientific Games' reign in Vermont will be in the fall of 2022. The lottery's business growth objectives aim to create millions of dollars in extra funding for the state’s Education Fund. Scientific Game's CEO Pat McHugh says the company is the industry's fastest-growing lottery systems provider.
