Rockford Casino remains on pace to eclipse last year's revenue totals
Gamblers continued to flock to Rockford's temporary casino on Bell School Road where they spent millions in July.
It was the second best revenue month of 2023 for Rockford Casino: A Hard Rock Opening Act. In fact, it was the second best month of revenue for the casino since it opened November 2021, according to information from the Illinois Gaming Board.

How much revenue did the Rockford Casino collect in July?
Visitors to Rockford's temporary casino spent nearly $6.1 million last month, about a 5.2% increase over June. And it nearly matched Rockford Casino's record monthly revenue total after winnings are paid out set in April when gamblers spent $6.3 million.
How many people went to the casino?
There were 51,143 visits to the casino in July, 4.6% more visits than the 49,835 visits in June. It was the third busiest month of the year for the casino.
Will the casino break last year's record for revenue?
Revenue growth remains strong for the Rockford Casino which is on pace to easily eclipse last year's total revenue generated of $54.7 million. Year to date the casino has raked in $39.7 million in gaming revenue in 2023, that's 30% more than the $30.5 million the casino had collected through July 2022.
Are gamblers playing table games?
Table games continue their successful run at the temporary casino. Games like Blackjack, Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em have raked in $404,527 in revenue, a slight dip below last month's total of $414,557. Thisis the fourth month the casino has offered table games.
Did the casino generate tax revenue?
Illinois collected $1.1 million in gaming taxes in July and $4.5 million so far this year. Last year, Illinois collected $8.9 million in gambling taxes. Local governments shared a $356,775 cut of gaming taxes and have collected nearly $2 million so far this year.
