Rivers Casino Philadelphia Hosts Free Labor Day Block Party

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Enjoy some “24K Magic,” “Uptown Funk” and “Treasure” at the Labor Day Fireworks and Festival at Rivers Casino Philadelphia on Saturday, Sept. 4, starting at 4 p.m. The free community event will feature a live performance by Uptown Funk, a Bruno Mars tribute band, along with food trucks, fireworks, games and more.
The casino’s parking lot will transform into a full-scale Labor Day block party, including a pop-up concert stage. This family-friendly event will also include plenty of free parking.
Masks are required for all guests and Team Members, per guidelines from the City of Philadelphia. Rivers Casino Philadelphia is not requiring proof of vaccination at this time, but continues to follow all city, state and CDC health and safety protocols.
“On the heels of our July 4th celebration, we’re excited to host another free and fun block party to close out the summer,” said Justin Moore general manager at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. “We’re looking forward to having our own incredible fireworks display, as well as bringing live music, games, and delicious food to Delaware Ave.”
Uptown Funk on Delaware Ave.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia will present Uptown Funk, a Bruno Mars tribute band, which will perform a number of Mars’ iconic tracks, including “Uptown Funk,” “24K Magic,” “Treasure” and more. Guests can also enjoy more music and dance hits while a DJ performs before and after the concert. The stage will be located on the south side of the property adjacent to Jack’s Bar + Grill patio.
Fireworks Viewing, Circus Entertainers, Rita’s Water Ice and More
Enjoy waterfront views of the casino’s incredible fireworks show above the Delaware River beginning at 8:30 p.m. Guests can grab a spot along the riverwalk to enjoy the display.
Throughout the day, in addition to the music, guests can enjoy a variety of fun family games and activities such as circus entertainers, lawn games, and more.
The event will also feature an array of food trucks, including delicious cool treats for guests to enjoy from Rita’s Water Ice and Häagen-Dazs — not to mention the following specials from the casino restaurants:
Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House — Guests can enjoy bourbon barbecue chicken drumsticks with Mexican street corn as well as buffalo shrimp for just $5 each.
Jack’s Bar + Grill — Jack’s will be offering tasty options such as the Jack’s burger and the spicy chicken sandwich with sriracha honey for $5 each, as well as pork tacos featuring salsa verde, pickled red onion, queso fresco and veggie tacos for $3 each. Guests can also enjoy live music in Jack’s Bar + Grill Friday, Sept. 3, through Sunday Sept. 5, from 6 to 10 p.m. each day.
Beverage and Food Tents — Rivers will also be offering hot dogs, chips, nonalcoholic beverages and more for guests to purchase. Alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine and canned cocktails will be available for purchase as well (ID required for purchase).
