Rising Tide Lifted All AC Casino Boats In First Half Of 2022
All nine Atlantic City casinos reported an improvement on COVID-racked first-half 2021 numbers. Caesars saw a 5% improvement, Hard Rock a 27.8% increase, Borgata 26.3%, Ocean 24. 3%, Bally's 22.6%, and Golden Nugget 11. 6%.
In June, brick-and-mortar revenue for last month was up 6.8% compared to June 2021. Hard Rock was the biggest winner, up 26.6%, and Bally's climbed 20.3%. Baly's has spent more than $100 million on upgrades over the past year. Golden Nugget came in 8th place for the month at $13.5 million.
The casinos took in $960.3 million from slots in the first half of 2022. They took $349.8 million in all table games. The gap between brick-and-mortar and online casino revenue is narrowing. Online poker revenue has declined by 5. 8%. The casinos and their partners have contributed $247 million to the treasury so far in 2022 so they have all-sources tax revenue.
