Relax Gaming secures license in Greece, continues EU push
The leading iGaming aggregator that provides leading content for the online gambling industry, Relax Gaming, confirmed it continues its European expansion. On Tuesday, the company announced it made a major step in expanding its presence in Europe by securing a license in Greece. The Greek market represents an important jurisdiction and Relax Gaming admitted it has been planning to enter the market ever since 2021. Back then, Greece introduced new regulations for online gambling.
Now, Relax Gaming confirmed it secured an iGaming Supplier License from the Greek gambling regulator, the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC). According to a statement released on January 10, 2023, Relax Gaming will be able to deliver its leading content to licensed operators "from Q1 onwards."
Thanks to this, operators in the country will benefit from accessing leading games such as Net Gains, Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop, as well as Money Train 3, among other popular titles offered by Relax Gaming.
Currently, Relax Gaming offers more than 4,000 online casino games and its portfolio of content is continuously growing. Thanks to different collaborations with third-party studio developers and content deals, the company continues to add new and engaging titles to its game library.
Only recently, Relax Gaming expanded the reach of its content via a deal with Markor Technology. Back in December, the duo joined forces which resulted in Markor Technology accessing games from the leading B2B supplier.
Before that, again in December, Relax Gaming inked a partnership with Lady Luck Games, a Swedish developer of award-winning iGaming content. Thanks to the deal, Lady Luck Games became a part of Relax Gaming's . This enabled the Swedish developer to expand the reach of its content and at the same time boosted Relax Gaming's offering.
Overall, 2022 was a successful year for Relax Gaming. During the EGR B2B Awards, the company was named Best Mobile Gaming Software Provider. Additionally, Relax Gaming secured a Casino / Slot Developer of the Year award from the SBC Awards.
Alexia Smilovic Ronde, the company's Chief Regulatory Officer, shared her excitement about the recent expansion. "We're delighted that Relax Gaming has been issued an iGaming Supplier License by the Hellenic Gaming Commission," she said.
Ronde added that the company is excited to continue its global expansion and secure presence in such an important market.
