Publisher hatches a false story of online fraud to cover up 27 Crore loss in gambling
Ahmedabad: The cyber cell police nabbed Vishal Gala under Gambling Act after he lost Rs 27 crore in online non-skill gaming and to avoid the repayment of his debts, the publisher hatched this story of online fraud.
Vishal Gala, manager of Gala Print City, had filed a complaint in cyber-cell alleging an online fraud of Rs 27 crore by enticing to give tender of Tamilnadu government and raw materials at low prices. The cyber cell found during the investigation that the complaint was false.
The cyber cell police, considering the complaint of Vishal Gala, found a person named Karansingh Dansingh Ravat (age 34) from Banglore in Karnataka. He was the director of phonepaisa. The money was paid to the Phonepaisa account of the complainant. The police found during his inquiry that he had not mentioned anything about allotting tender or giving raw materials at low cost to Vishal Gala. Vishal Gala was allegedly involved in gambling in non-skill gaming from India24bat.com.
He had deposited money in the nodal bank account of Phonepaisa from his bank account and his company Gala Global Product Ltd’s Bank Account. Cyber cell DCP Amit Vasav said that Vishal gala continued gambling online after Rs 27 crore fraud. An entry of paying Rs 96 lakh online in a month was also found.
