Play’n GO has officially launched a new online slots game: Tomb of Gold. The game’s adventure story is centered on the exploration of Egypt’s Tomb of Gold, buried beneath the desert dunes, for lost treasure.

“We feel that a well-crafted story allows for a complete journey, built not only around game mechanics, but also an entertaining story that builds to an eventual crescendo, all of which ties into the overall theme of the game,” Hellstrom said in a press release.
“Specifically for Tomb of Gold, I think we’ve managed to combine the two very well with, for example with how the tomb opens up during the free spins feature.”
In Tomb of Gold, the player is required to spin the 6×4 reels to create winning combinations of symbols. If the player lands on a Golden Coin Scatter on each of the six reels, this will activate the Lock’n Gold round.
When this occurs, the tomb itself will shift, expanding the reels to a 6×5 layout. All symbols will be removed except for Gold Coins, then the player will be awarded five Free Spins.
Each Gold Coin that lands on the reels will hold in place until the end of the round. These coins can have a multiplier value of up to x100, with all multipliers being added together at the end of the round for substantial rewards.
“We want to appeal to all players, existing and potentially new players. This is important for a game like Tomb of Gold, which shows players something new that they may not have experienced before,” Hellstrom added.
A second chance is given to the player for landing four or more coins
Furthermore, a second chance will be given to the player for landing four or more coins. This second chance will allow the player to collect the remaining Gold Coins needed to advance to the Lock’n Gold round with a re-spin.
If the player lands three standard Scatter Symbols while spinning the reels, he or she will unlock the chamber leading to the Free Spins round. A wheel will spin to determine the starting multiplier.
When the Free Spins round begins, every time a Wild symbol lands, the win multiplier will increase by +1 and each Scatter symbol will award +1 extra spin as well.
