PlayNY interviewed New York State Assemblyman J. Gary Pretlow, D-Mt. Vernon and Sen. Addabbo, who both serve on the Senate's Standing Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wagering. Pretlow thinks the online poker bill won't happen until after the retail casino expansion matter is settled.
Online poker is not going to come right now. Sen. Addabbo and Sen., Joe, are looking more toward the downstate casino expansion first.

NY Assemblyman expects online gambling to be on the table in 2022. Bill Hornbuckle, the CEO of MGM Resorts International, wants to open a New York online casino market. BetMGM is a joint venture between Horn Buckle's company and Entain.
BetMGM Poker is already live in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) noted that any such offering requires authorization from the participating states.
