News 12 gets sneak peek tour of Resorts World New York Casino in Newburgh

Resorts World New York Casino is opening its third location next week, this time in Orange County.The casino officially opens next Wednesday, but News 12 visited today for a sneak peek.Officials say the casino was a $50 million renovation of what used to be the old Bon Ton store at the Newburgh Mall in the town of Newburgh.The facility will have 1,200 slots and electronic games, such as blackjack, baccarat, craps and roulette.The casino was specifically designed not to have any restaurants, in hope that patrons will go to restaurants surrounding the Newburgh mall area when they get hungry. There will be two bars at the location, featuring artwork from the Hudson Valley. "We are thrilled to be here at the Newburgh mall right at the crossroads of Interstate 87/84. A super convenient location, and one that we believe it's going to really help the revitalization of the Newburgh Mall as well," says Meghan Taylor, VP of Resorts World New York.Resorts World has two other casinos in Monticello and Queens.
