Mohegan Sun Announces Online Gambling Division As CT Launch Nears

Mohegan Digital launched today as the iGaming arm of Mohegans Sun, the tribal property located in Uncasville. CT online gambling still needs federal approval before the bill Gov. Ned Lamont signed into law on May 27 goes into effect.
Mohegan Sun announces online gambling division. The law enacted via HB 6451 allows consumers to spend on online casino, poker, sportsbooks and iLottery offerings. Connecticut still needs federal approval to amend the state's gambling compact with Mohegans and Mashantucket Pequot tribes. On July 6 the Lottery Corporation will notify the company selected as its partner from the “sports betting solution and services” proposals.
Mohegan Digital is creating an iGaming experience for its flagship property, Mohegans Sun Connecticut.
Mohegan Digital will be the overall online casino brand. Rich Roberts is the President and Aviram Alroy is Vice President of Product for the iGaming sports betting experience. MGE owns operates or manages US entities in Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, Washington and Pennsylvania. It does the same in Northern Asia and Niagara Falls, Canada.
Mohegan Digital is a new digital gaming platform launched by the company.
Roberts and Alroy are new employees at MGE. Alroys was the CEO of FaceOff, a social/skill sports gaming platform. He's been with M GE since 2014 as its vice president of interactive gaming. Mohegan Digital will absorb that division.
Mohegan's expansion plans include Washington, Pennsylvania, Ontario and more states in the future. The Mohegans brand is already available as an online casino in New Jersey.
