Microgaming And Big Time Gaming Team-Up In Megaways Deal
Microgaming has an agreement with the online casino games studio Big Time Gaming that will see the Megaways mechanic deployed by the software provider over a variety of upcoming igaming launches.
Microgaming will work to integrate Megaways into appropriate new titles set for its platform alongside its network of independent game studios. Shamrock Holmes, which is earmarked for network-wide release in January 2021, is the first game to receive the Megaways treatment.
Microgaming CEO John Coleman commented: “Megaways has had huge success and we’re excited to be integrating the mechanic into some of our future games. Big Time Gaming are proven innovators, and we are delighted to extend our relationship with them and grow their presence on our platform.”
With the intention of ramping up player interest in slots through a competitive, fast-paced gaming experience, BTG launched Megaways in 2016. The random reel modifier system allows an ever-changing number of symbols across the reels to be created by any given spin, enabling players to encounter a completely different game each time with hundreds of thousands of possible ways to win.
At Big Time Gaming, Nik Robinson, CEO, added: “We’re on a mission to bring the Megaways revolution to a bigger audience, and they don’t come much bigger than Microgaming.
“These guys were industry pioneers and today they remain one of the biggest forces in the gaming space. As ardent slots fans, we’re delighted to be contributing in a small way to the Microgaming story.”
