Michigan authorities confiscated 67 devices used for illegal gambling in two locations in Flint. The Cellular Vault and Cellular Bank were raided on August 18th. 11 slot machines, 56 computers, $10,141 and gift cards were confiscated. The cellular vault was used to play slot-style games, while at the Cellular bank, gamblers were provided with a PIN code to access casino games online.
The MGCB and MDAG are investigating two illegal gambling schemes in Michigan. The raids and confiscation of illegal equipment and proceeds are part of a wider joint investigation. In April Michigan investigators took in 100 devices used for illegal games and $29,200. Missouri also has problems with illegal slot machines. There is a lack of regulation on slot machine in the state.
