Man hits six-figure jackpot at Las Vegas Strip casino while celebrating 21st birthday
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A man from Ohio visiting Las Vegas for his birthday is going home with a lot more than the memory of turning 21 in Sin City.
According to a media release, Damon Howell of Union City, Ohio was celebrating his birthday on Friday, May 10 at the LINQ. He had been playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em for half an hour when he hit a $362,640 jackpot.
A Caesars spokesperson said that the birthday boy was “overwhelmed with shock and disbelief” and his initial thought was that the win was “not real.”
Howell added that he was “too young to figure it out” when asked what he would like to do with his winnings. Once he regained his faculties, he said that he would like to buy a house.
