Lottery President Says Large Jackpots Mean More For Kentucky Students
Kentucky Lottery President Mary Harville says large jackpots for games such as Mega Millions and Powerball mean more money for Kentucky students who are continuing their education.
Harville says it has been exciting to see recent jackpots for the Mega Millions and Powerball reach more than one billion dollars, but she reminds players those high jackpots are random.
Harville says the Kentucky Lottery recently introduced a new game that is creating some interest among players.
She adds the proceeds from the Kentucky Lottery continue to help students obtain their education for a number of fields.
Harville says the lottery is coming off a great 2022-23 fiscal year and is already off to a good start for the new year that began July 1.
The Kentucky Mega Millions is continuing to grow with no winner Friday night resulting in what is now a jackpot of more than one billion dollars.
