Lottery player wins over $900K on ticket from southwest suburban convenience store
OAK LAWN, Ill. — A southwest suburban 7-Eleven sold a lottery ticket that fetched a lucky winner just over $900,000 this week.
According to an Illinois Lottery news release, on Tuesday just before midnight, a player stopped into the Oak Lawn 7-Eleven located at 4501 West 95th Street and purchased a Fast Play Twenty 20s ticket that hit the jackpot of $902,096.
According to the Illinois Lottery, Twenty 20s is a “progressive jackpot Fast Play” game. The jackpot begins at $50,000 and grows with each ticket sold statewide, in-store and online, until the jackpot is won.
Fast Play is a quick game that can be played at any time, the Illinois Lottery says, requiring no numbers to pick, no play slip to complete, no scratching and no waiting for winning numbers. The Illinois Lottery currently offers over 25 Fast Play games.
Already this month, the Illinois Lottery says, the Fast Play Twenty 20s game has netted players more than $1.48 million in prizes.
Also, for selling the winning ticket, the 7-Eleven in Oak Lawn receives a selling bonus of 1 percent of the prize amount, or just over $9,000 in this case.
