Las Vegas Strip Gets Good News for Tourists
The Las Vegas Strip was closed in March 2020 due to a health crisis. Caesars and MGM Resorts International slowly reopened their casinos two years later. The health issues have since been under control. The situation could be worse if a healthcare crisis continues to affect the Strip. It is also a problem with Candida auris and MPox.
The Las Vegas Strip is vulnerable to less widespread health concerns than the global crisis. Mpox has loomed over the Las Las. Vegas. RSV filled pediatric wards but was less of a concern for adults. C. auris has been more of hospital-related problem. It spreads quickly in hospitals and is drug-resistant. It's not a major concern to tourists.
Mpox threat has passed in Las Vegas. Only one new mpox case was reported in the Las Las Vegans area in December. About 300 mpx cases and one death were reported earlier this year. Crowds have returned to close to or exceeded pre-covid 2019 levels.
