Las Vegas (KSNV) — Earth Hour 2024 is on Saturday, March 23, and several Las Vegas Strip casinos are getting in on the initiative.

According to officials with The Venetian, the resort, along with The Venetian Expo will be turning off non-essential exterior lighting from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

To bring further awareness to this initiative, the resort will turn exterior LED tower signs green on The Venetian and The Palazzo towers, and The Venetian Expo for the entire evening, outside of Earth Hour.

Additionally, Resorts World also announced that they would be participating for the third year in a row, turning off the 100,000-square-foot LED screen on the West Tower, along with all non-essential exterior lights.

This effort is a part of the worldwide annual environmental campaign that asks organizations and individuals to turn off lights for one hour.
