Las Vegas floods drench casinos, downtown streets
LAS VEGAS — Severe thunderstorms brought strong winds and heavy rain to Nevada’s Las Vegas Valley on Thursday evening, flooding downtown streets, drenching casinos and knocking out power to thousands of customers.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal and KSNV-TV, parts of the region, which was under a flash flood warning until 10:45 p.m. Thursday, logged an inch or more of rain in a two-hour span. A flood advisory continued through 2:45 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Service
Witnesses shared videos of water pouring into popular tourist destinations on the Las Vegas Strip and downtown, such as Planet Hollywood and Circa Sportsbook, according to KLAS.
