July Revenue Figures Suggest Sky's The Limit For NJ Online Casino
July was a record month for New Jersey's online casino industry. Borgata beat Golden Nugget for the third consecutive month. Caesars was the other $10 million-plus earner. Online poker revenue dropped from $4.8 million in July 2020 to $3.1 million last month in New York.
Sports betting generated $578.7 million in July, but only $49.3 million of that came online. The industry captured 9.5% of the wagers, the highest since January 2020. Other bets produced a 5. 5% rate of return for the books. Meadowlands Racetrack and its partners FanDuel and PointsBet took in $31. 7 million. Resorts managed $10.6 million, with Borgata $6. 3 million and DraftKings $ 10. 6 million as their partners.
