Ireland's 17th millionaire winner could be crowned this Friday as EuroMillions jackpot hits €130m
There is a €130 million jackpot on offer for EuroMillions this Friday. The National Lottery advises players to buy their tickets early to avoid queues. There have been 16 Irish Euromillions jackpots winners since the game launched in Ireland in 2004. The usual ticket sales cut-off time is 7.30 pm on Friday, but the National lottery is expecting a huge demand.
The EuroMillions jackpot hits €130 million. Dolores McNamara from Limerick was Ireland's first and biggest Euromillions winner scooping over €115 million in 2005.
A player from Co Tipperary won a €15 million jackpot in 2008.
June 2009: A family syndicate shared the jackpot with a British winner, taking home over €29.4 million with the ticket they purchased in Dublin.
June 2013: A winning ticket sold in Beaumount, Dublin, shared a EuroMillions jackpot worth over €187 million.
A young man from the South East shared a jackpot of over €25 million with a player in Spain in September 2013.
The EuroMillions jackpot is expected to reach €130m this Friday.
The ticket was sold in Centra, Ballybrack, Co Dublin.
A syndicate of friends won over €66 million in January 2016. The ticket was sold in Eason’s store, Fairgreen Shopping Centre, Carlow.
22 Dublin Bus colleagues won €23.8 million in Portarlington in July 2016.
Dublin work syndicate claimed the €88.5 million EuroMillions jackpot. The winning ticket was sold at the Applegreen Service Station on the M1 Northbound in Lusk, Co. Dublin.
