IGC to Unveil Vigo County Casino License Winner in Mid-November
The Indiana Gaming Commission will announce the preferred developer of a casino in Terre Haute, Vigo County on November 17. The previous holder of the license, Lucy Luck Gaming, was denied renewal. Four companies submitted proposals for the vacant Vigo County casino license. The winner will be announced mid-November. It will include Churchill Downs, Hard Rock International, Full House Resorts and Terra Hautes Entertainment.
Hard Rock proposes to build a Rocksino with 850 slot machines, 35 table and poker games, six food and beverage outlets, a 300-seat Velvet Sessions Showroom entertainment venue, and a 1,000-square-foot Rock Shop retail center. Full House Resorts' planned casino would be named American Place. Churchill Downs proposes a resort that would reflect the unique heritage of Vigo County and the surrounding region. Terre Haute Entertainment and Premier Gaming are seeking permission to develop a complex that includes a casino with 800 slot machine and 20 table games.
