iGaming Ontario was established last week as the new gaming entity responsible for online offerings in Ontario. It has introduced some changes to the digital rules. The province is looking into expanding the market.

The organization has now banned the Auto-play feature in digital slots. Split-screen or multi- screen slot play is also prohibited. Online games must display participants’ net position in Canadian dollars and not in credits. Marketing materials must not be based on themes, use of language, to appeal to minors or feature a fictional character.
iGaming Ontario was officially launched last week. It is a subsidiary entity of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Danish consultant Birgitte Sand will be in charge of it.
