I played with dragons on a live casino game at Fabulous Vegas
PLAY the dragon-inspired games at Fabulous Vegas today and see what you can win.
It seems that everything has an appreciation day nowadays; it’s impossible to keep up with them all.
So, you’d be forgiven for not knowing that 16 January marks Appreciate a Dragon Day!
How do you appreciate and celebrate a fictional creature?
One way you can do that is by playing the dragon-themed games on our newest online casino site, Fabulous Vegas.
In this first Keep up with Katrina of 2024, I took my usual budget of £10 and battled the dragons that guard the golden (chip) treasures awaiting at Fabulous Vegas.
Did my gaming session achieve scorching success? Did the games turn up the heat as I played? Perhaps I was just a damsel in distress?
Let’s see how I got on…
- Spent £4
- Won 24p
I decided that for this review, I’d play only two game but spend longer each one to explore the games in a bit more detail.
The first game on my dragon quest was Gold Hit: Dragon Bonanza.
This slot game has 4608 ways to win with each spin. Players can bet between 10p and £8.50.
For players looking for an immersive dragon-themed game, this is a good place to start.
A fierce-looking red dragon clings to the edge of the game table, its tail dangling just above a floor covered with golden treasure and jewels.
It’s not going to give up its hoard without a fight…
However, the game has lots of ways for players to leave with money in their winnings pots.
The base game is the standard slot format: spin and wait to see if a winning symbol pattern lands on the play table.
Before each spin, players have the option to pay a slightly increased bet amount, which will double the chances of a bonus being triggered on the next spin.
There’s also a Free Games feature that awards 10, 12 or 15 free games if the player spins in three, four or five Bonus symbols.
Glistening from the corner of the table is the jackpot tab. This tells you that there are four jackpots on offer, each worth a multiplier value of your base stake:
- Mini (20 x stake)
- Minor (50 x stake)
- Major (100 x stake)
- Mega (500 x stake)
In terms of triggering a jackpot win, this game seems to have one of the simplest triggering sequences that a slot game can have.
All you have to do is spin in a dragon’s eye symbol.
- Spent £6
- Won £5.01
I did manage to claim some of the Gold Hit dragon’s treasure, but my quest wasn’t done with just yet.
I spent the remainder of my budget on the Dragon Tiger Live Casino table.
As Fabulous Vegas is a casino site, it seems only right to include a casino table on this review.
Live casino tables offer online players the chance to still enjoy much of the in-person casino experience.
They use real dealers and livestream technology to broadcast real games as the play out. Betting is done in real time.
The game Dragon Tiger is a fairly simple casino game, so it might be a good place to start if you are new to online casinos and want to try a live game.
There are eight decks in play, and a live dealer. The dealer draws two face-down cards, one is the dragon and the other is the tiger.
Players bet on which card they think will be the higher value.
At the same time, additional bets may also be placed. These include:
- Odd / Even – whether the dragon or tiger cards will have an odd or even value (Ace, Jack and King are odd, Queen is even).
- Big / Small – whether the dragon or tiger cards will have a high value (above eight) or a low value (below six). Ace is low.
- Tie – whether the dragon and tiger cards will have the exact same value.
**Big, Small, Even and Odd bets are all considered a Lose when a seven is drawn.
The odds are given on the screen at all times. Players may only place bets when the current game playing out has ended.
You can bet in increments of 50p, £1, £5, £10, £25 or £100. Players who like this game may choose to use the Quickbet function.
It allows you to set a default stake amount so that future bets can be made quickly, in the click of a single button.
This is the game where I had the most success. What I like about this game is that each round is relatively fast, keeping things interesting.
Plus, you can never truly be sure of what draw is coming next. For instance, the best odds are given for a tie, as it is the most unlikely outcome.
Yet, while I played, there was not one, but TWO ties in a row.
If you wanted to focus your play on the casino games at Fabulous Vegas, this is a game to consider!
While both of the games that I played were dragon-inspired, they were quite different in every other way.
As a slot game, Gold Hit allows you to play at whatever speed you want (within reason… the game may timeout if you are inactive for a long time).
There’s also slightly better control over how much you spend as the betting increments are smaller.
However, Dragon Tiger is the superior casino experience. You get to enjoy the real-time atmosphere from the live casino format and there’s even a chat window should you wish to speak with the croupier or other players.
As the potential winnings are based on given odds, and not multipliers of your stake amount, it felt like you could win, or lose, higher amounts than on a slot game.
As is customary, I had a think about how I could spend my winnings pot of £5.25 on a dragon-themed purchase. So, I decided to gift myself:
- A Chinese Dragon Pendant Keychain - £5.25
Have a great Appreciate A Dragon Day!
