Here's your chance: Powerball jackpot reaches $1.4 billion
LANSING — The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $1.4 billion ($643.7 million cash value) after no ticket matched all the winning numbers drawn Wednesday.
The jackpot is the third largest in the game's history, according to the Powerball website.
There have been three billion-dollar lotteries this year, due to changes to the major lotteries in 2015 and 2017 that decreased the odds, meaning the prizes grow bigger than before. An extra Monday Powerball drawing, added in 2021, also increased the prizes.
It will be the fourth billion-dollar lottery this year.
Here's what you need to know before the next Powerball drawing.
