The Live! Casino at Westmoreland Mall will hold two hiring fairs at its recruitment center next week, joining so many other employers in the region competing for workers.

The casino in Hempfield will hold the hiring events from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, across from the Old Navy store on the first floor of the mall along Route 30.

The casino said it needs workers with a variety of experience and talent in all facets of its operations, including food and beverage, line cooks, guest service representatives, facilities and utilities attendants, barbacks and even entertainers, the company said in a statement. The casino also is seeking emergency medical technicians and security ambassadors.

The hiring event is timed to coincide with the end of the additional federal unemployment benefits on Sept. 4.

The dealers school, which begins Sept. 13, will be held Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., for six weeks. .

Those interested are encouraged to pre-register for the event, but walk-ins are welcome.
